🇬🇧 Singing Fountain Mariánské Lázně
- The reconstruction of the iconic Singing Fountain in Mariánské Lázně was carried out at the turn of 2024/2025, 39 years after its original commissioning in 1986. The project included a complete renewal of the technological infrastructure – from piping systems and the machine room to lighting and control technology – while preserving the original architectural and artistic concept of this unique landmark.
- The core of the modernized solution is the Tecomat Foxtrot control system, which now ensures fully automated seasonal operation of the fountain and enables manual as well as remote control. The Foxtrot CP-2005 PLC with eleven I/O modules controls the water technology, RGBW lighting via a DMX interface and, in cooperation with the AM-01 Audio Module, provides precise time synchronization of music, lighting effects and water elements.
- The application software was developed in the MOSAIC environment and complemented by a web-based visualization with remote access. A specialized tool called Foxtain is used for creating and editing music-light-water choreographies, allowing intuitive scenario design and accurate synchronization with musical compositions. The solution also includes an audio server with time-synchronized playback.
- The result is a technologically advanced yet historically faithful solution that significantly increases operational reliability and ensures long-term sustainability of the fountain. According to the long-time operator Petr Matějka, the modernization represents a major qualitative leap in both technical background and creative possibilities, while fully respecting the character of the original work.
